We're looking for someone who lives, eats and breathes marketing in and around ecomm and the social space! The Off Site Marketing Manager will work in a highly collaborative environment managing Agency Relationships, Social Media Marketing Campaigns, Paid Search and SEO for our eCommerce Division at This is not a tele-commute role.

Primary Responsibilities:

Social Media Marketing

  • Manage agency to meet social support scope requirements (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Blog)
  • Keep up to date with all company marketing initiatives and events
  • Provide requirements to agency for social media marketing initiatives such as contests, giveaways, sweepstakes and events

Paid Media

  • Provide guidance, oversight, campaign parameters and input to Paid Media campaigns (SEM, PLA, FBX, etc)
  • Partner with agency to develop business rules, campaign limits and adjust campaign elements
  • Monitor daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly performance against campaign objectives
  • Identify opportunities to improve campaigns through targeting, segmentation or other factors
  • Tune campaigns daily to meet divisional sales and/or traffic objectives
  • Manage reporting on campaigns, brands and co-op spend vs Sport Chalet spend in partnership with agency
  • Provide agency with requested information to inform, adjust, and adapt all campaigns
  • Provide input to and approval for all campaign messaging, graphics or other media


  • Provide guidance, oversight and campaign parameters to SEO agency
  • Develop keyword target lists by category and other business units
  • Monitor keyword performance using BrightEdge
  • Coordinate with Sr. Site Manager to optimize site content for SEO benefit, aligning site content with SEO keyword strategy
  • Coordinate with Sr. Site Manager to implement and maintain best practices for site SEO optimization
  • Monitor status and effectiveness of Local Optimization campaign
  • Develop seasonal SEO objectives, campaign parameters, and success criterion
  • Develop reporting on SEO campaigns in partnership with agency
  • Chair weekly project meetings with agency
  • Provide input to site design and platform architecture requirements to enable SEO optimization

Skills / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience with either SEM or SEO; experience with both a plus!
  • Thorough understanding and working knowledge of Social Media platforms
  • Understands fundamentals of both paid and organic search
  • Expertise in either paid or organic search
  • Agency and/or client side experience preferred
  • Ability to change directions quickly and multi-task is a must
  • Demonstrated track record of KPI improvement for either paid or organic search
  • Ability to think quickly, communicate clearly and work collaboratively
  • Strong written communications skills
